Slow Motion Bench
An interactive bench designed for Time! Time! Time! — Exploring Time, an exhibition at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan), Japan. The bench was created to offer visitors a physical experience of the passage and flow of time.

時間をテーマにしたメディアアート作品の展示会のために制作した作品。デジタル的な細かく“刻む時間”ではなく、大自然に流れるシームレスでゆっくり流れる時間の流れを体験できる作品。とてもゆっくり気づくか気づかないかくらいゆっくり周回しながら乗った人に直接自然に流れる時間の形を体験できるベンチ。

Created for a media art exhibition exploring the theme of time.
Rather than representing time as something digitally measured and divided into precise increments, this work explores the seamless, slow-moving flow of time found in nature.
The bench rotates extremely slowly—almost imperceptibly—allowing those seated on it to physically experience the continuous and natural passage of time.
